  • Oh yea, what the hell is Patriot Day?  It's a Massachusetts
holiday that I've never heard of.  Now seeing as I've been living
in Connecticut for the better part of my life, how is it that I've
never heard of it?   Oh well, Happy Patriot Day I guess.

Oh and as I was admiring the nice warm weather today at lunch, I began
to fully welcome back warm weather for warm weather has brought back
cleavage! Ah yes, nothing makes walking around in public quite as
enjoyable as cleavage. Gone are those huge winter coats that conceal
and hide.  It's good to be able to see again

  • What a beautiful day!  The last two days were great too but today is straight out of Compton Florida type weather.  I'm trying my best not
to listen to evil influences like Crystal, who tell me to skip
work/class and go drink.  But I finished all my paintings today in
class so I don't have to go to my monday morning classes for the rest
    of the year...sweet!

Didn't do much this weekend.  Pledges cleaned the apartment, I
worked out and went running in the park yesterday.  It's so much
nicer having a clean apartment.  I can invite people over without
the fear of them running from the sight of a mini Fresh Kills localized
in my apartment.  Blah, Yankees are winning right now so I'm happy.

Song of the Day: Nelly - Hot In Herre

  • Ugh.
    I'm bored at work.
    It's sunny outside.
"I wanna be where the people are, I wanna see, wanna see 'em dancing"
I want to stop quoting animated movies
    I want ice cream.
I don't want to go to class tonight.
I don't want to go to class on Saturday.
    I don't want to graduate.
I want it to be 2000 again.
I want that car alarm to stop going off.
I want to go drinking tonight.
I don't want to wake up tomorrow hungover.
I want to be with her.
I want Bon Jovi to tour this summer.
    I want a job.
I want a job in Florida.
    I miss Homer.
    I need a vacation.
    I'm done now.

Song of the Day: Simon & Garfunkel - Sound of Silence

  • Fuck you, fuck you, fuck you, fuck you, you're cool, fuck you.

Song of the Day: Lucky Boys Confusion - Hey Driver

  • I've developed a rather bad habit of not being able to sleep whenever I
drink.  Well, I can fall asleep real easy but I can manage about 4
or 5 hours of sleep and then I wake up.  Physically, I'm tired but
mentally, I'm wide awake.  It sucks. Alot. Especially when you
have work the next morning!   This is like the second or third time it's happened.

While on the topic of boozing, Passover sucks because I can't drink
beer or even vodka. So I'm stuck with bitch drinks or just concoctions
I don't usually drink. Last night I drank jack and coke and long island
ice teas, both of which are not my favorites by any means.  They
do get you nice and drunk but alas, I like a little style when I'm
going to get hammered. Besides, these damn drinks cost a pretty penny
compared to beer.  I'm giving up drinking until this stupid
    holiday is over.

Also, this holiday is terrible for eating out.  Basically all I
can eat is salads or straight up meat.  Now, I like caesar salad
as much as the next guy but you can only eat so much of it before
you're just tired of the shit.

Song of the Day: Jimmy Buffet - Margaritaville

  • Au revoir bread, pasta, rice and other leavened products.

For the next week I'll be at the mercy of meat and matzah. My only issue
I suppose is that my main sources of food have been spaghetti or pizza
and now I must eat other things.....which I don't know what they might
be at this time. Worst of all, no beer!  I'll be reduced to
drinking mixed drinks.  Regardless, I'm leaving work early today,
heading to Penn Station and then vamoosing to Long Island for Passover
and then finally going to Connecticut.  I'm dressed to impress, or
as Spock called it, I look like a parochial school kid.  I think
    that's a compliment, but I'm not sure.

Sopranos last night was ehh.  It held my interest but it wasn't
the best episode I've ever seen. It just seems like the previews for
the episode are always more interesting than the episode itself.
Deadwood, on the otherhand, is really good.  I also saw Hellboy
and Walking Tall this weekend. If you like detailed plots and such,
these movies aren't good for you. If you want simple action movies,
    then its pretty good.

Song of the Day: Eagles - Take It Easy

  • Want to hear a story? Sure you do.  Regarding my "job interview" I
was talking about.  So on Tuesday I got dressed up, the suit, the
tie, the whole nine yards(not the crappy Matthew Perry movie).  I
headed to Pace to get my mock interview to fine tune my skills. Let me
tell you, I'm an interview master.  Any question they threw at me
I smiled, gave a great response and a smug grin right back at
then.  All I needed was a wink and that pistol firing motion
thingee I do with my hand.  But anyway, I was off to Long Island.
Two hours later I arrive at the place and there's like 4 other guys in
suits there too. At first I was like, "Shit, it's a group interview". I
wish that were the case. In reality there was no interview. It was a
hoax....someone's idea of a good practical joke. I wasn't that
pissed. I mean, I only wasted $20 in total so it could have been worse,
like paying for application fees or something like that. Live and
learn, I guess.  But thanks to the many who wished me good luck on
    that interview.

Song of the Day: Martha Reeves & The Vandellas - Nowhere To Run

  • Saturday class wasn't that bad but its a total waste of my time.
We spent 2 hours going over the Desktop in windows.  Plus the guy
barely speaks english so I spent most of my time playing bingo online
and looking for unfortunate souls to IM.  Also, if you have a
break from noon to 1 on Saturday(or are even awake), I'm free for lunch
at that time.  On another school related note, I just finished my
second painting in Art class and I'm getting mighty good now.
Well, good being a relative term when compared to my previous
    work.  But hey, it's progress.

Big job interview tomorrow and suffice to say, I'm nervous.  This
job would be almost perfect(perfect being this job with the pay amount
in Florida ).  I have to haul ass to
Long Island but before that I need to put on my suit, get a haircut and
go do a mock interview at career services at Pace.  Surprisingly,
career services is actually worth some of my time and I've been
pleasantly surprised by them.  Oh well, if I can land this job
I'll be like uber happy.  Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease let me get it!

Song of the Day:  Aerosmith - Love In An Elevator

  • I'm look so excited right now. I just got an email from a company that
wants to give me an interview for a job!  Only problem is I have
to figure out which job it is exactly
I've sent out so many resumes that I can't begin to remember which job
it is.  When I get home tonight I'll go through my sent emails and
piece it all together.  The job is in the city, but the interview
is in the friggin end of Long Island so that'll be a haul and then
some.  The first interview is next Tuesday so we shall wait and
see.  In the meantime, there are more jobs out there to apply to.

On a disturbing note, this Saturday I start my 9-4 class.....thats right, 9am to 4pm on SATURDAY!!
If  I was going to commit bloody murder, it would probably be this
weekend.  I don't know how I'm going to get through the class. The
class is in one of the computer classrooms but I don't think even the
    Internet can save me.

Oh and Ana, you're in biiiiig trouble

Song of the Day: Bachman-Turner Overdrive - Taking Care of Business

  • I got my first response back after applying to a job finally.
After like applying to dozens and dozens of jobs, one emailed me back
asking for my resume in Word format At least they emailed me back.  Oh well, the fight goes on!

Sopranos episode last night was ehh, at best.  The only good part
was when Paulie beat up the gardener and then told Tony he had to
because the guy was coming at him with a chainsaw.
Ahh, I love Paulie. And that new series that came on after called
Deadwood was really good. And I guess part of me likes it just cuz it's
one more thing to watch on HBO which in turn makes me feel like I'm
    getting my money's worth.

Well my last spring break is over and done with.  Staying home
wasn't as bad as I thought it would be and it wasn't as bad as freshman
year spring break but I still wish I went somewhere.
At any rate, I'm in the home stretch now of school....only a few months
more and then it's 100% pure adulthood.  Where, or where has the
    time gone?

Song of the Day: DJ Sammy - Sunlight
