  • Allegedly, it's pay day!  We get paid on the 15th & 30th of
the month so I'm expecting someone to walk into my office with an
oversized novelty check, balloons and Ed McMahon to hand me the check.
Ok, so what I'm really expecting is a bland envelope with my name
potentially mis-spelled and a check in it.  It won't be my regular
amount on the check as I havent worked 15 days but it'll be
something.  I haven't added anything to my bank account since
mid-August and I've charged so much crap that I'm afraid to look at my
American Express statement (which is still in its envelope somewhere on
    my desk).

Yesterday I went on a hunt for some supplies. I made out with some
post-it notes and a desk calendar.  Evidently we don't stock pens
or paper in our building so I had to give an order request to the
secretary(or whatever her official title is).  Aside from that,
work has been pretty much the same old stuff.  I'm doing alot more
work than I usually do and I dont know how, but it gets all done in a
fairly good amount of time.  I guess I'm just talented.

I decided in the end not to take off work tomorrow for Rosh
Hashanah.  My reasoning was I didn't feel right asking for a day
or even a half day off at a job where I've only been working for barely
a week.  And it's not like I'm missing services or something, it's
just a family party in Long Island.  In fact, the only reason I'd
really want to take the day off would be to be able to sleep in.
    Oh well, life goes on.

And by the way, I've made a new blog on my site that will include
reposts of these Xanga posts and probably other postings.  Check
    it out at http://blog.hochmania.com
